A splendid example of cooperation between Engineering and Construction

For a Carbon Capture Project in Rotterdam, we executed the Piping and Support design, including full stress analysis, for and in close cooperation with our client KLIP BV.

Seeing the design come to life in the construction and installation is always something special.

This project came with its own set of challenges:

• Use of “exotic” materials
• Large bore piping with small margins
• Multiple stakeholders
• Integration of different types of design software

Our team executed the Piping design in CadWorx, Supports design in Advanced steel, Stress calculations in Caesar II, Structural calculations in Idea Statica (amongst others), ensuring the system was not only functional but safe and efficient under operating conditions.

This is a great example of what our international team can achieve when Engineering, Project management and Construction work hand in hand.
