Job

For one of our esteemed clients, we are seeking for welding inspectors. 


The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding activities, including fabrication and repair work, are performed in compliance with established codes, standards, and regulations. This includes verifying that all welding procedures, equipment, and materials meet the specified requirements, and conducting visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) to assess the quality of welded components.


Key responsibilities:



  • Inspect welded products and structures for defects, such as cracks, incomplete welds, and incorrect dimensions, using visual and NDT techniques.

  • Review welding procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards, such as ASME, AWS, and API.

  • Verify that welders and welding operators are qualified and certified to perform their respective tasks.

  • Monitor and inspect welding equipment to ensure it is properly calibrated and maintained.

  • Review material certificates and ensure that materials used for welding meet the specified requirements.

  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of welding activities and test results.

  • Liaise with other inspectors, engineers, and supervisors to ensure compliance with project requirements and deadlines.

  • Identify and report any non-compliance or quality issues and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions

Job Requirements


  • Bchelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial Engineering

  • Additional education or training in welding technology, quality control, or related fields is preferred.

  • Certification as a welding inspector by a recognized organization, such as the American Welding Society (AWS) or the International Institute of Welding (IIW) - CSWIP or IWP/IWS/IWT certificate.

  • Familiarity with NDT methods, including visual inspection, magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic testing, and radiographic testing.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other team members

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Good command of English, spoken and written
